"Do you ever wonder what those Astronauts on Discovery are doing up there right now? "
 My 7 yr old wants to know.  She doesn't remember any space launches  but happened to see the shuttle Enterprize on display at the Hazy Center near Dulles Intl Airport.   I have been showing stuff on the launch and what it looks like in space,.  It seems to me noone cares about what is going on up there.  Am I one of few marveling how easy it seems
to send up a shuttle, do space walks and dock with an international space station?  I can't even
connect tubes together to build my new gerbil house, or parallel park easily between 2 stationary cars, let alone take a moving object, turn it around, and connect it to another moving object.  And without crashing into things! (We won't go there) How many other countries are even close to doing this?   Here, unfolding in front of our very eyes an unrivaled engineering feat only America can do.  And I remember in first grade (yes, I am an old fart) watching these blurry white figures jumping up and down on the moon. Watching the launch the other day brought all those happy memories back.  Now all I have to do is go on the internet and see what is going on.  It is cool to share this with my daughter.  Well, to all you astronauts up there, keep up the good work , pray you make it home safely and you make me proud to be American.
